1. About Us

Melanated Empowement Line is a UK-based small business offering:

• Handmade Cricut gifts and personalised stationery

• Handmade jewellery and accessories

• Wellbeing-inspired content and products (e.g., journals, affirmation decks)

• Small-batch beauty/self-care items (e.g., scrubs, soaps)

Our mission is to create thoughtful, handmade items that support personal wellbeing and bring joy.

2. Orders and Payment

• All prices are in GBP (£) and include applicable VAT (if registered).

• Payments are processed securely via [Wix Payments / PayPal / Stripe].

• Orders will only be processed once full payment is received.

• Custom orders must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable once production has started.

• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

 

3. Shipping and Delivery (UK Only)

• Orders are dispatched from the UK within [2–5 working days], unless otherwise stated.

• Standard delivery is via InPost or equivalent courier.

• We are not responsible for delays caused by postal services or inaccurate addresses provided by you.

• Any additional customs charges (for international orders, if applicable) are the buyer’s responsibility.

 

4. Returns and Cancellations (UK Consumer Rights)

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your items (excluding custom or personalised products, beauty products, and pierced jewellery).

You may return items if:

• They are faulty, damaged, or not as described

• They are unopened and unused (for beauty products)

• They are unworn and in original packaging (for jewellery)

To request a return, contact us at admin@mel-empowerment.com within 14 days of delivery.

Exceptions (non-refundable and non-returnable):

• Custom/personalised items

• Opened or used beauty items (for hygiene reasons)

• Earrings or pierced jewellery (for hygiene reasons)

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item(s), minus original shipping costs (unless faulty).

 

5. Product Descriptions and Handmade Nature

We make every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately, but please note:

• Colours may vary slightly due to screen settings

• Handmade items (e.g., jewellery, stationery) may have natural variations

• We are not liable for slight imperfections that are part of the handmade process.

 

6. Wellbeing & Beauty Product Disclaimer

Our products and content aim to promote wellbeing, but are not medical or therapeutic treatments.

Beauty and skincare items are crafted using natural ingredients. You are advised to:

• Perform a patch test before full use

• Discontinue use if irritation occurs

• Read all product labels and ingredient lists

We are not responsible for adverse reactions or misuse of products.

 

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our site – including designs, product names, text, graphics, and images – is the intellectual property of Melanated Empowement Line and is protected by UK copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, sell, or use our content without express written permission.

By placing an order with Melanated Empowerment Line, you agree that we may use photographs of your personalised product designs (e.g., keychains, stationery, jewellery, etc.) for the purpose of showcasing our work on:

• Our website portfolio

• Social media platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok)

• Promotional or marketing materials (online or printed)

We take your privacy seriously. Any sensitive or identifying personal information (e.g., full names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers) will be blurred, cropped, or removed before sharing.

If you would prefer that your personalised item is not used in any promotional material, you may opt out by emailing us at admin@mel-empowerment.com after placing your order.
